Who We Are & What We Believe
A Foshan engineering atelier that has spent seventeen years learning one discipline: how to hold wine and cigars at the exact condition they were made for.
The Company Behind the Collections
Guangdong Wine Decoration Warehouse Cellar Engineering Co., Ltd. — trading under the brand VIPHONYA — is a manufacturer, not a trading intermediary. We design, engineer and fabricate stainless steel wine preservation systems, architectural glass wine rooms, Spanish cedar cigar humidors, bar workstations and precision metal racking from a single integrated facility in Foshan, Guangdong.
The company sits inside Lecong Town, Shunde District — the cluster that supplies roughly a third of China's architectural stainless steel. That location is not a marketing detail. It is why we can hold sub-millimetre fabrication tolerances, why our PVD titanium finishes match across separate production batches, and why a replacement component can be cut and shipped inside a week rather than a quarter.
We work almost exclusively on a made-to-order basis. Roughly nine in ten units that leave this facility carry a dimension, a finish or a refrigeration configuration that did not exist before the client asked for it. That is the business we chose: fewer projects, engineered properly, rather than volume with the tolerances sanded off.
Our clients are private cellar owners, restaurant and hospitality groups, developers fitting out amenity floors, and architecture practices that need a metal fabricator able to read a construction set and answer to it. We do not sell from stock. We quote from drawings.
Registered address: No. 2, East Road, Taoist Industrial Zone, Lecong Town, Shunde District, Foshan, Guangdong, China. Business licence and factory audit documentation are available to qualified buyers on request.
What We Hold Ourselves To
We are wary of culture statements that live only on a website. Every principle below is tied to a practice a client can actually audit — a test we run, a document we issue, or a number we publish.
Make the storage invisible, so the collection is all that shows.
A wine room succeeds when the owner stops thinking about the machinery. Every engineering decision we make — where the evaporator sits, how the door gasket seats, how the frame disappears into the wall — serves that single outcome. The equipment should be felt as a condition, not seen as a product.
Be the fabricator architects specify by name, not by price.
We would rather be the second call after the design brief than the fifth quote on a spreadsheet. That means being the partner who can read a construction drawing, flag a conflict before fabrication, and hold a finish schedule across forty units. Reputation on tolerances is the only durable moat in this industry.
- Nothing ships on a sample. We do not release a batch on the strength of one good unit. Finished goods are inspected 100% — every single unit, both visually and functionally, before it is crated. Sampling is how defects reach clients.
- We quote the cost of being wrong. If a design will not hold temperature, we say so before the deposit, not after installation. Losing an order to an honest objection costs us less than a rework on the other side of an ocean.
- One unit is a real order. Our minimum order quantity is one. A private collector commissioning a single cabinet receives the same engineering review, the same inspection record and the same warranty document as a forty-room hotel programme.
- Craft is measurable, or it is decoration. Weld penetration, flatness, coating adhesion and pull-down time are recorded values, not adjectives. If we cannot measure a claim, we do not print it on a specification sheet.
- The relationship outlives the warranty. Between half and four-fifths of our business comes from buyers who ordered before. We treat the thirty-six month warranty as the start of a service obligation, not the end of a sales cycle.
- Say what we cannot do. We decline work outside stainless steel, glass, Spanish cedar and integrated refrigeration. A fabricator who claims every capability usually excels at none, and the client discovers it at commissioning.
Seventeen Years, One Direction
Founded in Lecong, Foshan
The company begins as a stainless steel fabrication workshop inside the Lecong metal cluster, taking on architectural metalwork and the first custom wine storage commissions for domestic clients.
From metalwork to climate engineering
Refrigeration is brought in-house rather than subcontracted. The product line consolidates around constant-temperature wine cabinets and walk-in cellar rooms, and the first export orders ship to Europe.
Spanish cedar and the cigar line
Cigar humidor production is added, requiring a separate humidity control discipline — stable relative humidity with heating and cooling, not simply cold air. The first combined wine-and-cigar residential projects are delivered.
Facility expansion and PVD finishing
The works expand to 6,600 m² with dedicated cutting, bending, welding, coating and assembly bays. PVD titanium vacuum coating is installed in-house so that colour and finish no longer depend on an outside supplier's batch schedule.
Audited, catalogued, and built for export
Factory verification is completed with TÜV Rheinland. The catalogue is standardised into seven collections covering sixty-four models, while every unit remains configurable to project drawings. Annual capacity reaches 3,000+ custom units.
Three Companies, One Supply Chain
VIPHONYA operates alongside two affiliated companies under common ownership. This is why we can carry a project from bare metal extrusion through to a finished, installed cellar room without handing your drawings to a stranger.
Foshan Viphonya Metal (Stainless Steel) Product Co., Ltd.
The fabrication backbone. Architectural stainless steel profiles, trims and custom metal components, plus the material supply that feeds the cabinet and racking lines.
Guangdong JK Cellar Project Co., Ltd.
The project arm. Site survey, CAD and 3D development, refrigeration specification and installation coordination for turnkey cellar and cigar room programmes.
Royal Metal Ground (HongKong) Limited
The export entity. Handles contracting, letters of credit and freight coordination for overseas clients, which is why we can transact on D/P, T/T, L/C and card terms.
How a Unit Earns Its Crate
Quality control here is not a department at the end of the line. It is four gates, and a unit that fails any one of them does not proceed to the next.
Incoming material verification
Stainless steel grade and thickness are checked against the mill certificate on receipt. Substitute material is the most common hidden failure in this industry and the hardest to detect after coating.
In-process dimensional control
Frame squareness, panel flatness and hinge seating are measured after welding and again after coating, because PVD heat cycles can move a frame that was true on the bench.
Climate performance validation
Each refrigeration circuit is run and monitored for temperature pull-down and holding stability before the cabinet is closed up. Humidity-controlled cigar units are validated separately for RH recovery after door opening.
100% finished-goods inspection
Every unit — not a sample — is inspected visually and functionally before crating, under a written inspection procedure. Results are recorded per unit and can be supplied with the shipment.
Verification on Record
Audit reports and inspection records are released to buyers under NDA. We do not publish certificate numbers on a public page, because a number on a website proves nothing that a document package cannot prove better.
The Commercial Facts
Buyers spend weeks discovering terms that should have been on page one. These are ours, stated plainly.
